Najee Janey is an up-and-coming rapper-songwriter hailing from Roxbury, a neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts. He has been writing and performing his own music since he was a teenager, and has been honing his craft ever since. The singer, songwriter, rapper, and poet is catching his stride musically and is always pushing his craft and himself to new heights. 

Najee has released multiple projects, “Blue Manifesto”, “The Purple Earth Theory”, “As-Is” “Blue Manifesto Deluxe”“Four Agreements” as well as dozens of singles in between which showcase his unique blend of rap and soulful R&B . His music has been featured on various radio stations and streaming services, and has been praised for his powerful delivery and immersive genre bending approach to records.

In addition to the music he himself creates and independently releases, Najee is a Billboard charting songwriter. He has written and produced music for including Sebastian Mikael, helloSIXX and TeaMarr. His records have been featured on radio stations around the world and have been streamed millions of times. His work has also been in several television shows and movies, some of his most notable clients include HBO, BET, TIDAL, Issa Rae Productions and Tyler Perry productions, Atlantic Records and more.

Najee is currently working on his debut several projects to showcase the diversity of his artistry and will . He is also planning to embark on a tour in support of the album.

Najee Janey’s love for music was birthed during his adolescence while watching his father play a diverse range of music like: Zouk, Jazz, Funk, and LatinX. The singer, songwriter, rapper, and poet from Roxbury, MA is just beginning to find himself musically and is pushing his craft to new heights. 

After first hearing Big Pun’s “Still Not a Player”, Najee fell in love with the honesty, complexities, and culture of Hip-Hop. While Hip-Hop is his first love, his sound can’t be boxed in. This is evident with his recent soultry release What’s Crackin and his numerous songwriting credits on Atlantic Records R&B artist Sebastian Mikael‘s last two albums, including his recent hit single “Time.”
